Step 01

Sync your script from Best Practice

Open the Authority Scripts panel in the Lyrebird sidebar during the consult. One click syncs the prescription you wrote in Best Practice, patient and prescriber details included. Nothing to re-type. (Sign in to PRODA once for the day; Lyrebird keeps the session open.)

Step 02

Answer the restriction questions

Lyrebird pulls the PBS restriction questions for the medication you prescribed. Answer them in the panel, and attach a supporting document if the item requires one.

Step 03

Submit, and get your approval number in seconds

Submit the authority request to Services Australia. The approval number comes back in seconds, with the timestamp and a copy button. If the request is declined, the reason shows in the panel.

Step 04

Paste it into the script

Copy the approval number and paste it into the prescription in Best Practice. Print the script. The consult never stopped.
