The practice owner's reality

Running a clinic is not the same as buying a scribe

You are measured on patient care, doctor retention, billing accuracy, accreditation, and whether the clinic can keep moving without everyone staying back late. A tool that creates extra admin will not last. A tool that gives time back and protects revenue will.

One place for the work that slows the clinic down

When doctors, nurses, and reception all rely on separate tools, the clinic pays for it in delays, rework, missed handovers, and extra admin. Lyrebird helps the whole team complete the work around patient care in one place.

Numbers you can take to a partner meeting

Vague claims about saving time are not enough when you are asking partners to approve clinic-wide spend. Lyrebird helps you connect time saved, documentation quality, and billing capture to the actual way your clinic operates.

Your clinic runs on BP Premier. Extra copy-paste creates risk.

If notes and care plans do not end up cleanly in the patient record, someone has to copy, paste, check, and chase. Lyrebird is built to help BP Premier clinics reduce that manual handling while keeping documentation consistent.

Adoption does not have to be forced

The most common concern from practice owners is paying for something the team will not use. The best adoption story is simple: make the output obviously useful. When doctors see better notes, cleaner care plans, and less end-of-day admin, the product earns its place.

Consistency protects the whole practice

Inconsistent notes, accreditation gaps, and missed item numbers do not stay isolated to one doctor. Clinic-wide templates and consistent documentation standards help every note meet the same quality bar.

What the clinic gets

One platform. Every role. Less admin drag.

GPs, nurses, and reception all play a part in getting care delivered, documented, billed, and followed up. Lyrebird helps each role move faster without adding another disconnected system.

The adoption path we see in clinics

Good output drives adoption without you having to ask twice

The worry we hear most from practice owners is simple: "I'll buy this and nobody will use it." The answer is not pressure. It is proof your team can feel in the day.

Start where the admin pain is obvious

Care plans, health assessments, and supporting documents become faster to prepare and easier for doctors to review.

Note quality improves

Doctors see clearer, more complete documentation and spend less time fixing gaps later.

Doctors see the difference

When the output is useful, adoption becomes a lot easier to earn.

The clinic gets the benefit

The benefit becomes visible in fewer delays, better records, better billing capture, and less after-hours catch-up.

“This solution is an absolute no-brainer. It has proven to be far better than other competitors and completely revolutionised our practice's efficiency. I'm so convinced of its value.”

The rollout expanded

7 Springs Medical Practice

“The results are so significant that we are planning to roll this out to all 32 of our doctors ASAP. This isn't just an efficiency tool; it's a critical investment in our entire operation.”

Put your clinic's numbers in. Take the answer to your partners.

The best ROI conversation is specific. How many doctors do you have? How many consults do they complete? How much after-hours documentation is the clinic absorbing? What billing is being missed because notes do not justify the care delivered?

“This isn't just an efficiency tool; it's a critical investment in our entire operation.”

Built for Australian general practice

Data security and compliance are not optional extras

As the practice owner, you are accountable for how patient data is handled. These are the basics your clinic should expect before adopting any clinical AI tool.

Patient data on Australian servers

APP 8 does not apply. Your patients' data does not leave Australia.

Audio deleted after every consult

No recordings are retained once the note is generated.

Data never used for model training

This is in the contract, not just the brochure.

Consent logged per consult

Patient consent is captured and recorded at the individual consult level.

Outside TGA medical device definition

Confirmed under August 2025 TGA guidance. No device registration required.

Clinic-level access control

Manage seats, roles, and permissions from a single admin panel. Offboard staff in one step.

Implementation and support

What happens after you sign

The most common complaint practice owners have about other AI tools is that support disappears after the sale. Everyone in your clinic asks you for help, and you have nobody to call. Here is what you actually get.

Week 1

Dedicated onboarding contact

A real person walks your team through setup, BP integration configuration, and first-note generation. Not a help article. Not a chatbot. Someone your staff can go back to with questions without it becoming your problem.

Ongoing

Self-serve resources for every role

Role-specific guides, quick-fix documentation, and recorded walkthroughs mean your team can solve most issues without escalating. When someone says "it's not working," they have somewhere to go that is not you.

Your control

Seat management without us

Add a new GP, remove a nurse who left, or change a role from a single admin panel. Staff change is constant in general practice. Managing access should not require a support ticket.

“The results are so significant that we are planning to roll this out to all 32 of our doctors ASAP. This isn't just an efficiency tool; it's a critical investment in our entire operation.”

Practice software integration

Works with how your clinic already runs

Integration is not an afterthought. It is where time savings become safer, cleaner records inside the systems your clinic already uses.

Native integration

Best Practice Premier

Direct write-back, SSO, and patient detail population. Notes, care plans, and health assessments can move into the patient record without copy-paste. Built for GPs and nurses.

Supported

Medical Director

Browser-based integration so clinicians on Medical Director can prepare and transfer documentation without a separate tool or manual transcription step.

Browser-based

Other practice software

Not on BP or MD? The browser-based layer means your team can generate and transfer notes without waiting for a dedicated integration build. Same quality, no custom configuration required.

The research behind the numbers

Where these figures come from

The published study gives clinical evidence. The 7 Springs case study gives the practice-owner view of ROI, billing, and day-to-day operations.

Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service - Memon et al., 2025

A 16-week independent evaluation across multiple clinical specialties at a major Australian public health service, published in BMC Health Services Research. The study measured documentation time, note quality, efficiency, and patient experience across participating clinicians.

Common questions from practice owners

Questions we get on every sales call

This is the most common concern we hear from practice owners, and it is a fair one. The clinics with the fastest adoption usually make the value visible first. When doctors see better notes, cleaner care plans, and less end-of-day catch-up, adoption becomes much easier to earn. You are not forcing anyone. The product earns adoption from the inside out. We can show you examples of how this played out in clinics similar to yours in a demo.
The clinic package covers GPs, nurses, and practice management in one subscription. GPs get consult notes and letters. Nurses get health assessment and handoff tools. Practice owners and managers get a usage and reporting dashboard. Pricing is structured at the clinic level, not per individual GP seat, so adding your nurse team does not mean a separate platform or a separate negotiation.
Use the calculator on this page to put in your clinic's actual numbers: GPs, patients per day, and hourly value of GP time. It gives you a specific figure you can take to a practice meeting, not a vendor estimate. Beyond that, the practice management dashboard gives you ongoing clinic-level usage data: which staff are using the platform, how much time is being saved per role, and where billing accuracy has improved.
Most clinics are generating their first notes on day one. There is no multi-week onboarding project. Template customisation, so notes match your preferred format, typically takes one to two sessions. We provide a dedicated onboarding contact for clinic accounts. You stay in control of who gets access and when, and you can add or remove staff from the admin panel without involving us.
The platform is used by clinics ranging from two GPs to multi-site group practices with over a hundred clinicians. Pricing is structured to make sense at any scale - a two-GP clinic is not paying for a 50-seat enterprise rollout. If you are a smaller practice, the setup is faster and the ROI shows up quicker because there are fewer people to onboard.
For BP Premier clinics, the integration is native, not a workaround. Notes, care plans, health assessments, and letters write back directly into the patient record. Patient demographics auto-populate so there is no duplicate data entry. SSO means your staff log in once. The integration applies across GPs and nurses, not just one use case. If your clinic uses Medical Director, a browser-based integration layer gives you the same core capability.
The document sorter is one part of the clinic product. The full package also includes nurse-specific documentation, clinic-wide template libraries, a usage dashboard, seat and billing management, and BP integration across roles. The roadmap is expanding. If you want to see what is live today versus what is coming, book a clinic demo and we will walk through it specifically rather than generically.
Heidi is a per-clinician scribe. It gives individual GPs a documentation tool, but it has no nurse layer, no clinic-level ROI visibility, and no deep BP integration across roles. BP Free is a useful starting point but is a limited subset of functionality - without the multi-role tools, document sorting, or management dashboard. There is also a support gap: practice owners who have moved away from Heidi consistently flag that implementation support disappears after onboarding. If your question is whether one GP can save time on notes, those tools may work. If your question is whether the whole clinic becomes more efficient and the investment is defensible to your partners, that is a different evaluation.
